I love Lisbon cafe! I only come here for the princess chicken which is my favorite favorite all time dish here. Although everything is else good, I find myself only wanting the princess chicken. My boyfriend also tried it and said it was good. We had the vodka pasta as an app along with their bread and homemade chips. Place is spacious and the staff are super friendly and nice. Live music Friday-Sunday for some amazing entertainment

Food is terrific. Try the baked clams, shrimp and Paella. The Sangria is great. Service is professional and friendly

We have eaten at the very attractive Lisbon Cafe in Mineola many times and have always had a wonderful evening. We shared the skirt steak with mushrooms in a port wine sauce which was excellent. Our friends had the Paella which they loved and the Portuguese wine recommended was perfect. The service is always exceptional and finally, the price is surprising very reasonable.

First time coming and I have nothing more to say than everything delicious! Portuguese style seafood paella I recommend it, the service 10/10 and the place looks really cozy, we will definitely return.

I've been going to Lisbon Cafe (fka Heart of Portugal) for over 30 years! The food is always delicious. No matter what you order you always walk out satisfied. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a foodgasm experience!

I've visited Lisbon Café twice and had two different experiences. The first time I went to Lisbon Café for dinner, my family and I had a great time. It wasn't packed and the staff was helpful. We ordered a pitcher of white wine sangria and when we mentioned that it wasn't strong enough, they added more white wine to the mix at no extra cost. We ordered the hot antipasto, paella, branzino, and Portuguese pork sausage. All of the seafood were fresh and delicious. The sausage was alright; although it looked cool to be torched, it was actually overcooked and didn't taste that good. My first experience was so great that I decided to bring my family back again for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, because it is Mother's Day, the restaurant was insanely busy and the staff could not keep up with all the tables. We were seated right away with our reservations but we were probably there for 3 hours. The food took forever to come out and it wasn't the same quality as the first time either. The paella looked undercooked and the rice was soaked in oil. The fried calamari was not crispy; the batter was soggy. The octopus was actually tender but I felt like it could've been more charred. The Hot Antipasto flavors were pretty much consistent as the last time. I would still rate Lisbon Café a 4/5. I understood that because it was a holiday, the restaurant was going to be busy, but I wished they were able to manage everything better.

Trying different dishes that time. Good food and service with great live music on Friday and Saturday.

I have been coming to Lisbon Cafe for awhile now with my MIneola Chamber of Commerce for their monthly dinner meetings. There is plenty of street parking here along with a village lot not far from the restaurant. We meet in their various spacious downstairs room, (with its own bar.). Very comfortable and well lit. This is a great venue of warm colors and light (plenty of light). It's just a very comfortable setting. The staff here is very warming and welcoming. It's just a good place to be for a great meal experience. Generally for a large meal we get a sampling of different appetizers then order a main meal. Loved the chorizo, clams and shrimp dish. My main meal was salmon which was really prepared well. (There is a picture but I can't tell you about the sauce.). If you're also rice lover, this is definately a good place for you. I will make it a point to come here so I can order off the menu and really get a better flavor of all the great things here.

This restaurant was excellent for a cool spot for lunch with a friend. The service & ambience was very good. Good place to eat with a date or family. They also have a kids menu which is also very good. Will definitely return with my family.
